This is one unusual phone. It's one of the first hands free phones on the market. You could use the handset as normal, or flip the big button on and set the handset down and talk at the speaker.

These phones are refurbished and rewired to work on today's phone system. The speaker grills on these are commonly chewed up, but not on these. I also replace the bottom pads because they tended to rot and get all over the place.

The ringer on these is a funny sounding tweeting sound that comes from the speaker. There is a hole in the bottom of the extension speaker for adjusting the ringer volume using a screwdriver.
