What does "with ringer" and "without ringer" mean?
Terms can vary from country to country. A "ringer" is the device in a telephone that makes a sound indicating an incoming phone call. If your phone has no ringer in it, it will not make any sound when a call comes in.
So why sell phones without ringers? There's a couple of reasons. One is that it saves money, and if you have another phone nearby that you will hear anyhow, then you can get by without a ringer. Another reason would be to keep the ringer count down in your house. Some phone companies in the world monitor the number of phones on the line by the ringers. With no ringer, the phone does not show up.
